Ursula Wolf


Ursula Wolf began her work as a German language lecturer at the University of Italian Switzerland in 2015 and at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio in 2023,   teaching German language at all levels.  Currently she is deputy delegate of the Goethe-Institute Examination Centre at USI Lugano and a certified examiner.  


After her studies of Romance and Slavic languages at the University of Salzburg and of theoretical and applied translation at the University Graz and teaching experiences in various schools and companies, she completed a course in Teaching German as a foreign language for adults. In 1997 she taught German as a foreign language at the Goethe-Institute in Moscow and subsequently moved on to teach German language for various educational institutions. 


From 2004 to 2013 she worked at the Professional University of Salzburg as a lecturer of Russian and Italian language for the departments of Business and Tourism, of Forest Products Technology & Timber Constructions and of Design and Product Management.


After moving to Ticino in 2013, she began teaching German language at SUPSI, for which she works also as a translator, both for the management and for the departments of Economics, Health and Social work and the Department of Innovative Technologies. 


She also collaborates as a German language exam expert with several schools, particularly technical schools. Parallel to her teaching activities, she carries out professional activities as a translator and interpreter for companies, public institutions, and publishing houses. Specialized language skills in the fields of medicine, technology and law. 


She successfully integrates the experiences she has gained during her professional career in Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Russia and Ukraine and her love for different cultures, literature, music, arts and different subject areas into her teaching.
