Gaetano Cascino

Gaetano Cascino is currently a PhD Student at the Institute of the History and Theory of Art and Architecture (ISA) at Università della Svizzera italiana. His doctoral dissertation, carried out as a joint degree with Roma Tre University (co-supervisor Prof. Giovanna Capitelli), is part of the project Visibility Reclaimed. Experiencing Rome’s First Public Museums (1733–1870). An Analysis of Public Audiences in a Transnational Perspective (SNSF project no. 100016_212922), directed by Prof. Carla Mazzarelli, and focuses on the reception and experience of Rome’s museums in the second half of the nineteenth century.

In the spring semester of 2025, he was a Visiting Student at Columbia University in New York (Italian Department), thanks to a Mobility Grant awarded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
