Biography

Letizia Tedeschi has been director of the Archivio del Moderno-USI since 1996, when she founded the centre and defined its objectives, philosophy and scholarly activity. She has been a lecturer at the Graduate School in History of Art at the Sapienza Università di Rome since 2010. She was a member of the Scientific Council of the inter-university Doctoral School in History of Arts (Università Ca’ Foscari-IUAV, Venice, Università degli Studi di Verona) from 2010 to 2016. She was a member of the teaching faculty of the Doctoral School in History and Preservation of the Object of Art and Architecture (Università degli Studi Roma Tre) from 2008 to 2014. From 2006 to 2010, she was a member of the Scholarly Board and teaching faculty of the School of Advanced Studies in Venice-Doctorate of Excellence in Theories and History of Arts (IUAV, Venice). Since 2014, she has been a member of the Conseil scientifique de l’Institut national d’histoire de l’art (INHA) in Paris. She was a member of the Conseil scientifique of the École nationale supérieure d’architecture Paris-Belleville (2012-2014). She has been an expert for the assessment of research projects with the MIUR (Ministry of Education, University and Research, Rome) since 2013. In 2012 and 2016 she was a member of the group of experts for Assessment (GEV) of the ANVUR-Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes of the MIUR: area 10 (Art History) and area 08 (History of Architecture). She was a Fellow of the Institut national d’histoire de l’art in Paris in 2013 and of the Centre André Chastel-Laboratoire de recherche en Histoire de l’art, Université Paris Sorbonne 4 in 2018. She was a Visiting Professor at the École nationale des chartes in Paris (2013-2014), at the Sapienza Università di Roma (2014-2015) and at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (2018-2019).
