Simone Garlandini

Geographer and specialist in geoinformation, he obtained a Master of Science degree with a specialization in GIScience from the University of Zurich (UZH) and a PhD in Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), with a focus on Architecture and the Sciences of the City.

He teaches the course "Spatial Development and Planning" at the Accademia di architettura of the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), where he also leads the Osservatorio dello sviluppo territoriale, a research laboratory that provides also scientific support to the activities of the Sezione dello sviluppo territoriale of the Dipartimento del territorio in Ticino.
