Research

The research interest of the Laboratory for Aging Disorders is the cell biology of human disorders linked to aging, in particular with regards to the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, FrontoTemporal Dementia, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis as well as Cancer.

Paolo Paganetti is a dedicated mentor for young scientists interested in a career as experimental researchers in biomedicine. His laboratory has hosted several master students, PhD students and postdoctoral fellows.
